HISTORY
DBI was established in 1993 by Bill and Kent Doud. Bill and Kent are the 4th generation in their family to be involved in the construction industry. In 1899 their great grandfather, E.F. Kent founded the Kent Lumber & Coal Company in Gridley IL. After WWI their grandfather, Evertt Kent, expanded the business to several lumberyards throughout central Illinois. Kent spent many years working in his grandfather's lumber yard, Westsde Lumber in Bloomington.
